The Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) are launching a new social media campaign as part of Stop Loan Sharks Week 2017.
The campaign will run from Monday 4 to Friday 8 December and will consist of tweets, advice articles and media links being shared from our Stop Loan Sharks Facebook page (www.facebook.com/stoploansharksproject) and Twitter account (@LoanSharkNews).
We would love your help in raising awareness of loan sharking and the help that’s available to victims via the IMLT
Following the success of last year’s campaign with our Stop Loan Sharks mask, we have designed some fun shark-themed photo props. We are asking all partners to use these props to create imaginative photos/videos and upload them to social media using the hashtag #SLSWeek2017.

The best photos/videos will be retweeted from our social media accounts – please refer to our list of suggested tweets if you are stuck for content ideas. We have also designed our very own Facebook frame this year! So please add this to your Facebook profile picture to help promote the Stop Loan Sharks hotline number (0300 555 2222) – the hotline will be active over Christmas and New Year.
The fun doesn’t stop there… The IMLT will also be running a ‘Guess Sharky’s location’ competition on social media next week! We’ll be uploading a new picture of our mascot Sid the Shark to Facebook and Twitter every day; users have to guess Sharky’s location right in order to be entered into a prize draw to win a One4all gift card! There are 4 gift cards up for grabs, so get guessing J Winners will be announced on Monday, 11 December
