Tech to Connect Challenge fund

Nesta is inviting VCSE organisations to develop apply for support from a £1m funding pot to develop tech-based solutions to social isolation. The Tech to Connect Challenge is funded by DCMS as part of the ‘Let’s Talk Loneliness’ campaign, launched during Loneliness Awareness Week, to help tackle the stigma of loneliness and encourage people to speak out.

To apply for the challenge, applicants need to outline a problem related to social isolation and set out how technology could help to address it. Seven finalists will be invited to follow a five-month programme of guided support, during which time they will conduct further research and develop a prototype and a plan for how it might be implemented. At this end of this period, one winner and two runners-up will be chosen to receive a share of the available funds.

The challenge is open to organisations across England, and the deadline for applications is 7th August.  Further information can be found here:
