Southampton Healthy Living Funding Re-Opens!


Southampton Healthy Living is happy to confirm that it is reopening it’s funding programme for 2018/2019 for community and voluntary groups, charitable organisations, social enterprises, businesses and individuals (who can demonstrate social values) in Southampton. The Health Behaviour Change service for Southampton, focusing on smoking cessation, weight loss, increasing physical activity and reducing alcohol intake.

It is delivered in partnership between Social Care in Action (SCA), Solent NHS Trust and SVS.  Southampton Healthy Living is working to enable delivery by local non-profit organisations, supported by a small grants scheme and contractual agreements to deliver on the contract KPIs.

Southampton Healthy Living Small Grants Community Funding Programme:

There is a total of £10,000 available for small groups/individuals to apply for. The maximum awarded is £500.If you/your group/organisation requires more funding than this, please contact SVS directly or look to apply for the larger funding stream noted below.

You/Your organisation will need to meet the eligibility criteria and expected to use the grant in an innovative and creative way to help residents of Southampton to get fitter, more active and to lead healthier lives. We recognise that a small grant might help big ideas get off the ground, so please use the expression of interest form to tell us your ideas.  Southampton Healthy Living has key areas to focus on such as weight management, physical activity, and alcohol reduction and stopping smoking.

Small Grant (Up to £500)

Deadline for application is 19th February 2018 at 5pm

This small grant will be running throughout the year until the money has been allocated. So if you miss this deadline please get in touch to discuss and submit your idea/ proposal.

Community Funding Programme

Community Funding Programme has a total of £90,000 available. We are looking to contract with a number of organisations for various amounts of funding.  For instance you could apply for between £5,000 – £45,000 dependent on how many people you work with, number of key geographical areas and priority groups.

In order to apply for contract funding you need to have a proven track record of delivering services and activities in the following work streams. Healthy weights, increasing physical activity, smoking cessation, alcohol management.

Large Grant (From £1,000 upwards)

Deadline for submission of applications is 19th February 2018 at 5pm
