Fire Cadet Volunteers Wanted

Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service are starting a Fire Cadet Units at Southampton Fire HQ (Leigh Road)

We need your support to find Volunteers to help deliver the programme.

The Fire Cadets programme is delivered by volunteer firefighters, non-operational fire service staff and adults from the local community. There are many ways in which you can volunteer to help on a Cadet unit, from leading sessions, to be a role model and mentoring the young people or helping with the administration tasks on the unit.

Fire Cadets is a uniformed youth organisation which inspires and empowers young people to be the best they can be. It is open to all young people aged 13 to 17 and is a nationally recognised programme, delivered through fire and rescue services.

We are looking for volunteer Instructors to help run the new cadet units out of HQ in Eastleigh and Gosport Fire Station starting in June 2019. Training and inductions are given to all volunteers, so no previous firefighting experience is needed, however an interest in helping young people achieve their best and reach their full potential is essential.

If you’d like to become a role model to young people, learn new skills and make a difference to our Fire Cadets visit to find out more information. We are holding several information events to provide members of the public with more information on how to get involved. The first information event will be held at HQ on Wednesday 6th March, bookable slots available for 11:00, 12:00 or 13:00hrs. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Instructor and you would like to book a time slot for the information event, then please email or call 07918 887541

If you are unable to attend the information event but you are still interested in becoming a Volunteer Instructor, then please send us an email and we will send you more information about the Fire Cadets Programme.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
