Welcome to December’s Funding Bulletin
Local Charities Day – Friday 15 December 2017
This is the day to celebrate our local charities. It’s a great opportunity for charities, community groups, social enterprises and every other kind of not-for-profit organisation to promote what you do and the difference you make in local people’s lives. If you haven’t already seen it, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport has a digital toolkit of pictures and posters you can use to promote your Local Charities Day events.
Thornhill Community Health Group grants – closing 8 December 2017
The final round of the TCHG grants closes on 8 December 2017, offering up to £7,000 for one year for projects that support residents in the Thornhill area of Southampton.
Who can apply?
Registered charities, community groups, social enterprises, faith organisations, statutory agencies and other not-for-profit organisations
Between £250 and £7,000 for one year.
Please note the funding can only be spent between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2019.
Activities must benefit the health and wellbeing of Thornhill (Southampton) residents. Thornhill residents are defined as those living within the Plus You Ltd area of operations, which covers the areas of Thornhill and Hightown and is broadly:
North – Upper Deacon Road / Thornhill Park Road
East – The city boundary
South – Botley Road
West – Bursledon Road
If you are unsure if your project is within the Plus You Ltd area of operations please contact the grant administrators to check before you apply.
This is a Participatory Budgeting grant scheme. Applicants will need to present their project ideas at a public event on Saturday 17 March 2018, where local residents will vote on the projects.
