Local Charities Day, Friday 15th December 2017.
Calling all small charities/community and voluntary organisations who are making a remarkable difference in their communities. Local Charities Day will be an opportunity to shine a spotlight on all those unsung heroes and to celebrate the commitment of those amazing volunteers who devote their time to improving the lives of others.
Get ready to get involved to show your support!
SVS would like small charities, community and voluntary organisations to come along to our First Friday Forum on 1st December from 9.30 – 12 to share with other likeminded organisations who you are, what you do, and the lasting difference you make to your clients/communities. It would be an opportunity to network and find out what’s happening across the city and to celebrate all the good work undertaken by unsung heroes. Each organisation will have 5 minutes of glory. It is important to submit your information in advance so that we can share your information/stories on the day and on the SVS website in celebration of this great day. Also on the agenda we have the Hampshire Autistic Society giving a presentation. It’s not every day we get a chance to sing from the rooftops celebrating all the good work carried out in the City.
To enable this to happen please can you submit your information prior to the Friday Forum to Auran Sood, firstname.lastname@example.org, by Friday 24th November 2017. This will greatly help assist in the planning of the forum. We are not looking for an essay just some basic information as outlined below:
- What you do
- Who you help
- What lasting difference you make to your clients/communities
- Do you have a story?
