Join Age UK – Team Leaders Required

After over 50 years of supporting the city’s vulnerable older people, Age UK Southampton is in an exciting new phase of service development, focusing on developing a volunteer led organisation and delivering support through a new integrated model that achieves better and more sustainable outcomes for clients.

We are responding to increasing levels of need from the City’s growing older population, building our future capacity and sustainability by working closely with Health and Adult Social Care services.

Team Leaders for vibrant new charity team

Volunteers are vital in our charity. Following a reorganisation, we now need four Team Leaders to provide support and supervision to the teams in our volunteer-led integrated service model. All posts are based at our Shirley offices.

Information & Advice (I&A) Team Leader

Provide a Quality-Assured information, signposting and advice service to older people and their representatives. Lead and manage, supervise and support volunteers. Work closely with the Navigation Service and provide cover and support as required.

Navigation Services Team Leader

Provide initial and ongoing proactive person-centred needs assessment of clients. Work closely with multi agency internal and external teams, and I&A Service, providing cover and support as required.

Support Services Team Leader

Provide an integrated range of support to ensure that AUKS’ services function efficiently, deploying and maximising volunteer resources. Work closely with Volunteer Services and provide cover and support as required.

Volunteer Services Team Leader

Recruit, train, co-ordinate and support development of the network of volunteers to ensure delivery of effective services. Work in close partnership with the Support Services and provide cover and support as required.
