Gift Aid is a great source of income for charities and if you claim Gift Aid you may also be able to claim under the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme. This workshop, aimed at anyone who is involved with fundraising from the public, or managing the finances, will look at what kinds of donations are eligible for each of these schemes, and what you have to watch out for.
The workshop will cover:
- What separates a “gift” from any other donation?
- The Benefit Rule
- What isn’t eligible?
- Common special rules
- What is a “small donation”?
Your facilitator is Rachel Cooper from Welbeck Accountancy who is working with Southampton Voluntary Services.
The training will be held on Monday 5th March 2018 from 11.15 am (Registration) for an 11.30 am start -1.00 pm at the Voluntary action Centre, Kingsland Square, St Mary Street, Southampton SO14 1NW.
