This event is the first in the BFPG’s new National Engagement Programme, discussing why foreign policy is relevant to the people of Southampton and Hampshire and why we should all care.
Sir Simon McDonald, Permanent Under Secretary and Head of the Diplomatic Service at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will provide the evenings keynote address. Representatives from Southampton Solent University and Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, will sit on a panel to discuss the role of foreign policy in building a healthy and sustainable community, focusing upon key areas such as education, employment and tourism. There will also be an opportunity to ask the panel any questions you might have regarding foreign policy.
