Citizens Advice Southampton is a local charity providing free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to over 7,000 people in Southampton every year on any problems they might face.

We are seeking candidates with finance administration expertise to join our busy and friendly advice organisation.  A working knowledge of charity finance is desirable.

Reporting to our Chief Officer, and working alongside a Management Accountant from our national membership body, this role is pivotal in optimizing the efficiency of our organisation, enabling us to focus on the development of our excellent client focused service. The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day routine administration of our finance operation and will provide key financial information to our Chief Officer and Treasurer.

In addition to the financial administrative capability required for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to the delivery of high-quality operational support
  • Experience of providing finance support and guidance to non-finance staff
  • Ability to accommodate and respond to change positively
