The Link

New service to support Southampton’s community groups looking for business support.
A ground-breaking new service in Southampton has been launched, that will make it easier for community groups to secure support from local businesses. The Link is a joint initiative between Business in the Community (BITC), Southampton City Council and Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS).

Community partners looking for help with projects such as redecorating premises, gardening and event organisation will be able to register their needs with The Link. The service will then put them in touch with a local business that is prepared to volunteer employees’ time and skills.

Subsidised Swim Lessons

Active Nation are now in a position to utilise some of the funding they have acquired to subsidise swim lesson for adults at the Quays & Bitterne Leisure Centre.
They are offering a 6 week block of sessions (45 minutes a session) for £18 per participant (this works out at £3 per session, and it is usually priced at £8 a session).
This offer operates on a ‘first come first served basis’, so once they are all booked up there will be no more courses at this price.
If you are interested in this offer I will need you to identify the most suitable time slot from the options below, when you would like to start the 6 week block and a payment for £144 (£18 x 8 participants), which can be one payment or you can collect each individuals money to pay for the course.
