Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS) is the umbrella organisation in Southampton providing voluntary & community groups working in Southampton with independent support and an independent voice.  This involves their development, promoting inter-group co-operation, encouraging good practice and working with volunteers, representing their views to statutory bodies, and providing vital support services.  If you would like to find out about other voluntary groups in Southampton, look in our directory.

Southampton Voluntary Services will be holding information sessions to help guide potential volunteers into Volunteering roles on the following dates at the Voluntary Action Centre, in Kingsland Square, (between Kingsway and St Mary Street):

 

Tuesday 31st August 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Thursday 9th September 10.00am - 12.00pm

Monday 13th September 10.00am - 12.00pm
Thursday 23rd September 10.00am - 12.00noon
Tuesday 28th September 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Voluntary Advice Evening

 

Southampton Voluntary Services will be opening late until 7.30pm on the first Thursday of the month.  These late openings will be an ideal opportunity for people to:

·         Get help with setting up a voluntary group, grant support or help with finding sources of funding for your project or service.

·         Learn about Volunteering in the City
