The Voluntary Action Centre’s primary objective is to provide a focal point for voluntary activity in Southampton and is managed by Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS), whose offices are on the first floor of the building.
The Voluntary Action Centre is centrally located in Southampton in Kingsland Square opposite Hoglands Park. It is within walking distance of the city centre and Southampton Central train station.
Opening Hours:
Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 4.00pm.
Other times by prior arrangement.

Bus Routes in Southampton
Southampton’s buses are run by several different operators, and many areas will have a combination of routes and services.
Most buses will use the main stops in the city centre by West Quay shopping centre, Palmerston Park (behind Primark) the Civic Centre and the High Street (Above Bar Street).

Parking
There is two disabled parking spaces, situated at the rear of the building (accessible from Kingsway).
There is limited on-road 4 hour Pay & Display parking at the rear of the building (accessible from Kingsway) and 3 hour on-road parking in St Mary Street. For long stay parking please visit one of the many convenient city centre car parks, we recommend using either the East Street Shopping Centre car park or the Six Dials car park (accessible from St Mary’s Road), for all day parking.

Meeting Rooms:
There are various meeting rooms available for use by:
- Voluntary Community Groups who are members of Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS).
- Groups that are constituted.
- New Groups that are working with a Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS) member of staff.
- Partnership work which includes a member of Southampton Voluntary Services (SVS) staff and the room is booked by them and they are attending the meeting.
A LARGE CONFERENCE/TRAINING/MEETING/SEMINAR ROOM – HOLDING UP TO 50 PEOPLE and UP TO 100 THEATRE STYLE (Oxford, Onslow & Palmerston need to be booked) These rooms have public address systems and induction loop facilities.
OXFORD (takes up to 20 people board room style, 15 for training, 25 for seminar/conference)
ONSLOW (takes up to 6 people meeting room style)
PALMERSTON (takes up to 12 board room style, 8 for training, 20 seminar/lecture)
AVENUE (takes up to 8 people meeting room style)
ST. MARY’S 1 (small interview room catering for up to 3)
